Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated · 29 September 2026
This policy governs payments, plan periods, cancellations and refunds for FlashTerminal Plans and Coins. They are offered by THINKCREATIVE TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U72900AS2020OPC019996, H.No-291B, Ujangram, Silchar, Cachar, Assam 788025, India; “FlashTerminal”, “we”). It forms part of our Terms of Use, and on these topics it prevails over them. Words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here.
In short:
- Every Plan we sell today is prepaid for a fixed period and does not renew automatically, on any platform.
- When the period ends, the Plan ends and you are not charged again.
- We never charge a cancellation fee, and asking for a refund is free.
1. Where you pay decides who handles your refund
| You paid through | Who charges you and issues the receipt | Who decides refunds | How to ask |
|---|---|---|---|
| Our website or web app (app.flashterminal.com), by card, UPI, net banking or wallet, through our payment gateway | FlashTerminal | FlashTerminal, under section 5 | Email us (section 5.4) |
| Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad, Mac) | Apple | Apple, under Apple’s policies | reportaproblem.apple.com |
| Google Play (Android) | Google Play for requests made through Google Play. After that, you can also ask us (section 4.2) | Google Play order history, or email us |
We cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves, because Apple handles them. If you need help with any store purchase, write to us and we will guide you.
2. Plans, prices and payment
2.1 Prepaid Plans. Before you pay, we show each Plan’s:
- features;
- price;
- period, for example 1 month or 6 months.
Plans are prepaid and end automatically at the end of their period. Your checkout and receipt show the date your Plan ends. To continue after that date, buy a new Plan.
2.2 The price shown is the price you pay. The price at checkout is the total amount you pay. It includes any GST that applies, which your invoice shows separately. We do not add fees at checkout.
2.3 Currency. Prices on our website are charged in Indian rupees (INR). If your card or account is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may charge a fee. We do not control or receive that fee. The App Store and Google Play set their own prices in your local currency, including local taxes, so the amount can differ from the INR price on our website.
2.4 When your Plan starts. Your paid features start when your payment is confirmed. Your Plan period runs from that moment.
2.5 Price changes. A price change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect. It never changes a Plan you have already paid for.
2.6 Coupons, including affiliate partner coupons. A coupon:
- applies only on its stated terms;
- can be used once per purchase;
- applies only to the purchase it is used on;
- cannot be added after purchase;
- has no cash value.
A refund is limited to the amount you actually paid. Affiliate partners cannot change this policy, and they cannot promise refunds, extra features or returns on our behalf.
2.7 Store offers and promo codes. App Store and Google Play offer codes, promo codes and introductory offers follow the store’s terms. A Plan received free through any promotion has no refund value.
2.8 Free Plan. The free Plan costs nothing and needs no payment details. It never turns into a paid Plan. We may change its features at any time.
2.9 Trials. We do not currently offer free trials. If we offer one, checkout will show when it ends. A trial will never become a paid Plan without a separate purchase by you.
3. Your Plan period, expiry and changes
3.1 Expiry. When your Plan period ends, your paid features stop and your Account moves to the free Plan. You are not charged again.
3.2 Your data after expiry. We keep your data, including watchlists, templates, layouts, journals and settings. Items beyond the free Plan’s limits are kept, but may be locked until you buy a Plan again.
3.3 Reminders. We aim to remind you, by email or in the app, before your Plan ends. A missed reminder does not extend the Plan.
3.4 Changing Plans. You cannot currently switch to a different Plan while a paid Plan is active. You can buy a new Plan when your current Plan ends.
If you pay for a second paid Plan while another paid Plan is active on your Account, on any platform, the second Plan is not activated. You get a full refund of that payment (section 5.2).
3.5 Cancelling. Because Plans do not renew, you never need to cancel to avoid future charges. You may stop using a Plan at any time. Stopping early does not by itself give a refund (section 5).
3.6 One Account, all platforms. A Plan belongs to the FlashTerminal Account that bought it, and works wherever you sign in to that Account.
- Personal. It cannot be transferred, shared, gifted or split.
- Family Sharing. App Store Family Sharing does not apply to FlashTerminal Plans, unless the store listing says otherwise.
- Gift, team and business Plans. We do not currently sell these.
3.7 Deleting your Account. Deleting your Account ends any active Plan. The unused period is not refunded, unless section 5.2 applies. Deleting your Account does not change anything with Apple or Google, so manage any store purchase in the store.
4. Purchases through Apple or Google
4.1 Store purchases are also subject to the App Store’s or Google Play’s terms. Those terms govern refunds, billing and the receipt.
4.2 Google Play. Request a refund through Google Play first. If Google Play does not handle your request and section 5.2 applies, email us with your Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.”). We will refund you through Google Play.
4.3 Apple. Only Apple can refund App Store purchases. If a situation in section 5.2 happens, tell us. We will confirm the facts to Apple on request, for example that your Plan was never activated.
4.4 When a store refunds you. When Apple or Google refunds or reverses a purchase, we may remove the Plan and any Coins it granted, from the time we receive the store’s notice.
4.5 Charged by a store, but no Plan. Email us your store order number. We will activate your Plan, or confirm the facts for your refund request to the store.
5. Refunds for purchases made with us
5.1 General rule. Plans start at once and give immediate access to digital services. We do not refund for:
- change of mind;
- partial use of a Plan, or not using it;
- the reasons in section 5.3.
5.2 When we refund.
| Situation | Refund | Request within |
|---|---|---|
| You were charged, but your Plan was not activated, and we cannot activate it within 3 business days of your report | Full | 30 days of the charge |
| Our system reversed your payment automatically (section 5.5) | Full, automatic | No request needed |
| You were charged more than once for the same purchase | The duplicate charge, in full | 30 days of the charge |
| You paid for a second paid Plan while another paid Plan was active on your Account, and the second Plan was not activated | The second payment, in full (for store purchases, see section 4) | 30 days of the charge |
| A charge you did not authorise, confirmed on investigation | Full | 30 days of the charge |
| A core paid feature was unusable for more than 7 consecutive days after you reported it, because of a fault on our side | Pro rata, for each day it was unusable from your report | 30 days after the fault is fixed |
| We withdraw a core paid feature, close the Services, or suspend or terminate your Account for a reason other than your breach, during your paid period | Pro rata, for the unused period | Automatic, or within 30 days of our notice |
A core paid feature is a feature listed for your Plan on our pricing page or at checkout when you bought it.
5.3 We do not refund for:
- trading or investment losses;
- market movements, volatility, market closures or exchange holidays;
- the outcome of any order;
- Broker, exchange or regulator actions, downtime or limits;
- rejected, delayed or partly filled orders;
- problems with your own device, internet connection or settings;
- AI output being inaccurate;
- Content delayed, changed or removed by a data supplier, where your Plan’s core paid features keep working;
- suspension or termination for a confirmed breach of our Terms of Use, except where the law requires a refund;
- Coins already used.
5.4 How to request.
- Where. Email connect@flashterminal.com from your registered email, with the subject “Refund request”.
- What to include. Your order ID or invoice number, the date and amount of the charge, and what went wrong.
- When we respond. We acknowledge within 48 hours, and decide within 7 business days of receiving what we need.
- Payment. We start approved refunds within 2 business days of approval.
5.5 Automatic reversals. Sometimes the payment gateway confirms a payment only after your checkout session has timed out. Our system may then refund it automatically instead of activating your Plan. We will tell you by email, and you can buy the Plan again at any time.
5.6 How refunds are paid.
- Method. Refunds go back to your original payment method, for the INR amount you paid.
- Currency. If your bank converted the payment from another currency, the amount you receive may differ, because of exchange rates and bank fees we do not control.
- Timing. Banks and payment providers usually take 5 to 10 business days to show a refund.
- If your card or account is closed. If the refund fails, we refund by bank transfer to an account in your name, after verifying it.
- Not in cash. We do not refund in cash, or to anyone else.
5.7 Tax on refunds. If tax was charged, we refund the tax on the refunded amount. Where the law requires, we issue a credit note.
5.8 Invoices. We issue an invoice or receipt for every purchase made with us. You can download it from the Payments page of your Account.
- Business purchases. Enter your GSTIN and business name before paying. We cannot change the buyer details on an invoice after it is issued, except as tax law allows.
- Store purchases. The store issues the receipt.
6. Coins
- Plan Coins. Coins included with a Plan are credited once per purchase. They are not credited again for an extension.
- Free Coins. Welcome and promotional Coins are free.
- Buying Coins. Coins bought separately show their price and number before you pay.
- No cash value. Coins cannot be sold or transferred. They are not a deposit, wallet balance or payment instrument.
- Expiry. Coins do not currently expire, and they stay in your Account after a Plan ends. If we ever introduce expiry, we will give at least 30 days’ notice, and expiry will not apply to Coins bought before that notice.
- Refunds. Unused Coins bought separately are refundable only in the situations in section 5.2. Used Coins are not refundable.
- After a refund. When a Plan or Coin purchase is refunded or reversed, we may remove the Coins it granted, up to your unused balance. If the refund is because of our error, we do not charge you for Coins you already used.
- Deleting your Account. This ends your Coin balance without refund, except as section 5.2 provides.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
- Contact us first. Most issues are solved faster directly. We will not suspend your Account only because you raised a dispute in good faith.
- While a dispute is open, we may pause the paid features linked to that payment.
- When it is decided. If it is decided in your favour, the payment is treated as refunded. If it is decided in ours, your features are restored.
- Fraud. A chargeback we reasonably believe is fraudulent may lead to action under section 17 of our Terms.
8. Special cases
8.1 Purchases by someone under 18. The Services are for adults (Terms, section 3.1). If a person under 18 bought a Plan or Coins with us without the payer’s permission, the parent, guardian or payer may write to us within 30 days of the charge. We will close the Account and refund the unused amount. For store purchases, use the store’s family controls and refund process.
8.2 If a user dies. A nominee or legal heir may ask us to close the Account, with proof. We will refund the unused part of a Plan bought with us, pro rata.
8.3 Termination for breach. If we terminate your Account for a confirmed breach of our Terms, fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires.
8.4 Suspension during an investigation. If we suspend your Account and then find no breach, we extend your Plan by the number of days it was suspended.
9. If we introduce automatic renewal
Before we sell any Plan that renews automatically on our website, we will update this policy. Any such Plan will:
- show the renewal price, the period and how to cancel before you pay, with auto-renewal stated clearly and never pre-selected;
- use a card or UPI mandate registered with additional factor authentication, as the Reserve Bank of India requires;
- notify you at least 24 hours before each renewal charge, with an option to opt out;
- require additional authentication for any renewal charge above the limit the Reserve Bank of India sets;
- let you cancel in your Account in no more steps than it took to subscribe.
Cancelling will stop the next renewal, and your paid features will continue to the end of the period you paid for. A renewal charged after you cancelled in time will be refunded in full.
For App Store or Google Play subscriptions that renew automatically, the store handles:
- the payment mandate;
- renewal reminders;
- billing retries and grace periods;
- consent to price increases.
Cancel in the store at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
10. Effect on the affiliate program
When a purchase is refunded (in full or in part), reversed or charged back, the commission credited to an affiliate partner for it is reversed in the same proportion, as set out in the Affiliate Program Agreement. A Plan simply ending, or you stopping use of it, does not reverse a commission. None of this affects your refund.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the new version is posted, unless a change is in your favour.
For help, write to connect@flashterminal.com. Grievances go to our Grievance Officer, as set out in section 24 of our Terms of Use. We acknowledge them within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
